AI-Assisted Grant Writing: Building Systems That Give You Time Back

Format: Hands-on Workshop
Audience: Education foundation leaders, staff, and grant writers

Dates & Times:
April 22: 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
April 23: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Session Description

Grants don’t have to feel like a time-draining obligation. This practical, systems-focused workshop shows education foundations how to use AI intentionally—by building the organizational infrastructure that makes these tools actually useful. Participants will learn how to respond to grant opportunities more efficiently, evaluate which grants are worth pursuing, and reduce the administrative burden of grant writing—freeing up time and capacity for students and schools.

Learning Objectives

Participants will learn how to:

  • Use strategies that make AI tools significantly more effective
  • Draft and refine grant narratives using AI while maintaining accuracy and organizational voice
  • Evaluate grant opportunities through a capacity-focused lens
  • Implement quality-control workflows to prevent common AI-generated errors

What to Bring

This is hands-on learning. Please bring:

  • A laptop
  • Access to an AI tool (ChatGPT or Gemini)
  • Previous grants and/or program descriptions
  • A current grant opportunity—or one you’re considering pursuing
